Prismatic Productions was founded in 2012 by Brent Parris, its President and Photographer-in-Chief, with the mission of 'redefining the art of portraiture'. Parris has been active in the art of photography from childhood, ever since he built his first pin-hole camera and started developing his own images in a darkroom -- while still in elementary school. Since then, he has performed hundreds of photo shoots and worked with many high end models and celebrities.
In addition to still photography, Parris also works as a freelance cameraman and videographer, having filmed over 80+ sports and entertainment events, including filming college football games for LSU, MSU, Auburn, and JSU,, as well as filming musical concerts for acts such as Usher, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, The Dave Matthews Band, Kellie Pickler, and others.
Parris is also an award winning screenwriter of feature-length movie scripts. His latest screenplay, Free Soil, won awards in the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest, Hollywood Screenplay Contest, Atlanta International Film Festival, Los Angeles Screenplay Contest, Oaxaca Film Festival, and the Las Vegas Screenplay Contest. The script is currently in consideration at other festivals.
Parris holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management (BSIM) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. He previously worked as a process design engineer for Honeywell Aerospace, a freelance cameraman for ESPN, ESPN2, Webstream Media, Cox Sports, Heritage Broadcasting, and other telecast companies. He is currently President of Prismatic Productions and Vice-President of a disaster response and remediation company in Birmingham, Alabama.
